Joshua “Josh” Morrison has rebranded his agency from Staybull Insurance to BadDrivingRecord.com, and the agency is now writing FR-44 insurance and SR-22 insurance in Florida. Josh ran his agency as a Staybull Insurance franchisee for more than 17 years, and throughout that career he specialized in FR-44 insurance, SR-22 insurance and high-risk auto insurance. Under the BadDrivingRecord.com name, he keeps doing that work for drivers whose record makes coverage hard to find. BadDrivingRecord.com Insurance Services Inc. is owned by Morrison Insurance Services Inc., a Florida corporation registered with the Florida Division of Corporations since 2011.

What BadDrivingRecord.com writes

The agency places high-risk auto insurance for drivers with tickets, at-fault accidents, claims, a DUI, a suspended license or a gap in coverage. If an insurance company or another agent has already told you that you’re high risk, you’re the driver this agency was set up for.

Many of these drivers also need a state filing. Josh writes California SR-22 insurance, which is filed with the California DMV, and Florida SR-22 insurance, which is filed with the FLHSMV. For Florida drivers with a DUI, he writes Florida FR-44 insurance. He also offers non-owner SR-22 and FR-44 policies for drivers who need a filing to reinstate their license but don’t own a car.

Contracts with Bristol West, Kemper, National General and Dairyland

Josh has already landed contracts with major insurance carriers such as Bristol West, Kemper, National General and Dairyland to offer FR-44 and SR-22 insurance in Florida.

Having more than one carrier matters a lot for FR-44 drivers. An FR-44 requires liability limits of 100/300/50, which means $100,000 for injury to one person, $300,000 per accident and $50,000 for property damage. Those limits are far higher than a standard Florida policy carries, so the price can vary widely from one company to the next. Each carrier also weighs a DUI, the rest of the driving record and the down payment in its own way.

With several carriers to quote, Josh can compare them side by side and place each driver with the one that fits their record and budget. Payment plans matter too, because an FR-44 has to stay active for three years, and if the policy lapses the insurance company notifies the FLHSMV and the license can be suspended again.

Offices in California and Florida

The agency has two offices. The California office is at 31855 Date Palm Dr STE 3 #406, Cathedral City, CA 92234, and the Florida office is at 1650 NE 26th St #207, Wilton Manors, FL 33305.

Since the rebrand, BadDrivingRecord.com has been writing policies in both states. Florida drivers can start with the Florida high-risk auto insurance page.

Writing about Florida filings since 2012

Josh has been explaining Florida’s insurance filing rules online for more than a decade. He launched FloridaFR44Insurance.net in 2012, then FloridaSR22Insurance.com in 2013 and FloridaHighRiskAutoInsurance.com in 2014.

Those sites now redirect to BadDrivingRecord.com. Their articles moved over with their original publish dates and are on this blog under Josh’s author page, so anyone who found him through one of the old Florida sites can still read the same guides.

If your state requires an SR-22 or FR-44, the insurance company files it with the state once the policy is active. You get proof of insurance as soon as the first payment goes through, so you have something to show the DMV right away.
